Polyester offers the lowest stretch of synthetic fibers, excellent UV resistance, and breaking strength up to 319,602 LBF, making it ideal when shock absorption is less important than dimensional stability.

HMPE (High Modular Polyethylene) dock lines are stronger than steel pound-for-pound while weighing only 1/8th the weight of steel, offering ultra-high strength with low stretch and reduced friction. They provide excellent abrasion resistance and splice-ability, making them ideal for the toughest commercial marine jobs, offshore operations, and heavy-duty applications where maximum performance and durability justify the higher cost.

Rinse dock mooring lines with fresh water after use to remove salt and contaminants, inspect regularly for signs of wear, abrasion, or UV damage, store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight, and replace lines when showing excessive abrasion or loss of flexibility. Proper maintenance extends rope life and ensures reliable performance in critical mooring applications.
